“MONA Catalunya Regió Mundial de la Gastronomia” Presentation

Last Monday, April 1st, the Museu de la Xocolata in Barcelona became the epicenter of Catalan culinary culture with the presentation of the emblematic MONA, an event we couldn’t miss. This year, the talented pastry chef Christian Escribà surprised us once again with his creation, dedicated to highlighting the rich culture of Catalunya.

From Eboca Restaurants, we had the honor of attending this celebration that brought together authorities, celebrities, and some of the most recognized chefs in the country. It was a unique opportunity to connect and share ideas about the current gastronomic landscape.

Among the attendees, we were able to chat with great names like Romain Fornell, the Adrià brothers, Oriol Castro and Eduard Xatruch, and Óscar Manresa. Each conversation was a feast of knowledge and experiences that enriched our perspective on cooking. The MONA is not only a symbol of Catalan pastry tradition but also represents the innovation and creativity that characterize our gastronomy. Seeing how these elements merge in such a significant event was truly inspiring.

At Eboca Restaurants, we believe that gastronomy is an art that goes beyond flavors; it is a way to tell stories and celebrate culture. This event reminded us of the importance of continuing to explore and support our local chefs and creators, who are the true ambassadors of our rich culinary heritage. We are excited about what the future holds and look forward to sharing moments like this, where the passion for food and culture come together. Until next time, and may the flavors continue!
